
As an intern, you’ll have opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge through hands-on training, case consultation, and supervision that integrates a range of evidence-based modalities. Our training includes exposure to cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral frameworks, trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR, mindfulness-based practices, and family systems work. Throughout your time at Sanara, you’ll deepen your understanding of how to integrate these approaches effectively while developing your own therapeutic style within a supportive environment.
Weekly individual and group supervision
Experience with a variety of client populations
Exposure to multiple therapeutic modalities
Opportunities to continue as an associate clinician after internship completion
Collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environment
Maintain a caseload of at least 10 clients per week
Complete timely and detailed documentation of all case notes within 24 hours of each session
Uphold a non-discriminatory approach to client care, supporting individuals of all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds
Be comfortable giving and receiving respectful, honest, and constructive feedback
Be present in-person at the office at least two times per week for sessions and supervision
Conduct one client session with live supervision during the program
Present an intervention or therapeutic modality twice per year during monthly team meetings
Present a quarterly case study during group supervision
Attend weekly 1-hour individual supervision with Sanara’s clinical supervisor
Attend weekly 2-hour group supervision
Attend the monthly administrative staff meeting
Enrollment in a master’s-level program in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work
Completion of prerequisite coursework and approval from your academic institution
Willingness to engage in supervision, meetings, and ongoing training
